A NIPCO filling station in the Ogo Oluwa area of Osogbo, the Osun state capital, has been gutted by fire.
Reports say the fire started around 7:30pm while a fuel laden tanker was inside the station. Motorcyclists as well as motorists had fled the scene to avoid being caught in the inferno. The Punch reports that Mike Ogundipe, the Head of Firefighters in the state confirmed the incident.
He said the cause of the fire was unknown. He however said no life was lost and nobody reported injured.
Ogundipe urged motorists to take alternative routes to avoid traffic jam.
