Rabiu Kwankwaso, a senator representing the Kano central senatorial district, on Monday held a meeting with Ayodele Fayose, the Governor of Ekiti state.
Idowu Adelusi, Fayose's Chief Press Secretary, said Kwankwaso addressed the northern community in the state. He urged them to live in peace with people of the state.
“Kwankwaso also decried the spate of killings in some parts of the country, noting that it was the responsibility of the government to secure the lives and property of the citizens,” the statement said.
The Punch reports that Kwankwaso stated that the decision of the New Peoples Democratic Party, nPDP, would inform his decision to remain in the All Progressives Congress, APC, or defect to another party.
The former Defence Minister had been absent from the APC's convention on Saturday choosing to pay Abubakar Atiku, a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, member at his residence in Abuja.
