Ibrahim Magu, the Acting Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has urged his officers in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State to fight corruption without any fear or intimidation.
Magu spoke on Tuesday, June 12, when he paid an unscheduled visit to the zone. It was his first official visit to the Uyo office of the commission since the office was commissioned in August 2017.
While speaking with Heads of Departments, Magu charged the officers not to spare anyone in the discharge of their duties; he however cautioned them to be professional and deal with cases that fall within the purview of the commission's mandate, not minding whose ox is gored.
Magu also made a brief stopover at the office of the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police, CP. Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi Samuel, where he also met with the Assistant Commissioner of Police; ACP. Shehu Umar; ACP OP's, Akoh Gabriel; DCP. Yekini Ayokun and DCP. SCIID, Chuks Nwachukwu.
