Junior Lokosa, the Kano Pillars' striker, on Sunday scored his 19th goal of the season in the week 23 of the ongoing Nigerian Professional Football League, NPFL.
The striker, who was dropped by Gernot Rohr in the final 23-man list for the World Cup, secured a point for Pillars against 10-man Rivers United at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
Chikere Osita had given Rivers United a 12 minute lead in Sunday’s Match Day 23 clash.
However, Lokosa, who made a return to Pillars’ starting line-up after his invitation to the Super Eagles camp, equalised two minutes after the break.
Lokosa is now four goals away from matching the NPFL scoring record of 23 goals, presently held by Enyimba's Mfom Udoh.
Rivers United finished the game with 10 men after Musa Newman was sent off in the 77th minute.
The draw ensured that Pillars have extended their unbeaten run to seven games.
