Chelsea have signed former England international Rob Green from Premier League club Huddersfield Town on a one-year deal.
Green’s move to Chelsea was announced on the Blues’ official website on Thursday morning.
The former West Ham, Norwich City and Queens Park Rangers shot stopper was part of England’s squad to the 2010 FIFA World Cup and 2012 European Championship.
He becomes Chelsea’s second signing in the current transfer window following the purchase of Jorginho from Napoli. He is expected to provide backup for Thibaut Courtois and Willy Caballero.
Green arrives with huge Premier League experience having represented Norwich City, West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers in the top flight. He has also been part of England squads at two major tournaments.
