Deputy Senate President, Ekweremadu In EFCC Custody

Ike Ekweremadu, the Deputy Senate President, has been taken into custody by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. According to Premium Times, Ekweremadu arrived at the anti-graft agency’s office in Abuja between 9-10:00 a.m. “He is currently at the interrogation room,” a source said. Another EFCC staff also said Ekweremadu is with anti-graft detectives, but could not say when he would be released. “We have some questions for him bordering on corruption,” a source said. “But we do not know yet when he would be released, we will know this by the end of the day.”
