The Federal Government will publish 200 names of looters soon, Okoi Obono-Obla, Special Assistant to the President on Prosecution, has said. Obla was quoted by Daily Trust to have said that some properties in some highbrow areas in Abuja have been linked to past and some seving public office holders. He said they would be probed and their properties seized if they fail to explain where they got the money to fund such large properties. “Let them tell us where they got the money to build these massive properties,” Obla, who is also the chairman of the special investigation panel on the recovery of public property,” he was quoted as saying. “If they cannot explain, let them quietly return it to Nigerians.” The Federal Government had earlier released a list consisting mainly of members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. The list included Uche Secondus, the Chairman of the PDP; Olisa Metuh, a former spokesman of the PDP; and Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation. Others included were Stella Oduah, a Senator from Anambra state, Jonah Jang from Plateau and Peter Nwaoboishi from Delta.
