Dele Fagoriola, a former chairman of Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, has been kidnapped by gunmen. Fagoriola was abducted on Saturday afternoon at his farm in Iju, along Akure Ikere-Ekiti Road. Busuyi Fagoriola, the elder brother of the victim, told journalists that the former Council chairman was on his farm to supervise his labourers when the abductors got hold of him and took him away. He said the abductors, who were about seven in number, used masks to hide their faces. He added that the family members had not been contacted by the abductors and they were yet to demand for ransom. Femi Joseph, the Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Police Command, confirmed the incident and said the command has launched an investigation into the incident.
