Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho was on target for Leicester City but it was not enough as they lost 2-1 to Italian Serie A side Udinese in a pre-season friendly match in Austria on Saturday. Iheanacho who was brought on in the second half, scored in the 89th minute which only proved be a consolation goal. Also in action for Leicester were Iheanacho’s Super Eagles teammates, Wilfred Ndidi and Ahmed Musa, who were also introduced in the second half. Kevin Lasagna opened scoring for Udinese in the fourth minute while Darwin Machis made it 2-0 in the 23rd minute. It was Leicester’s first pre-season defeat after they beat Notts County 4-1 and drew 0-0 against Akhisarspor. Up next for the Foxes is another friendly game against Spanish La Liga side Valencia on Wednesday.
