Swiss star, Xherdan Shaqiri, is set to join Liverpool after the club triggered his £13 million release clause, according to reports.
ESPN reports that the 26-year old flying winger began his medicals on Friday after Stoke City sanctioned the transfer on Thursday, following a week of discussions.
If the transfer is completed, Shaqiri would become Liverpool's third signing of the summer after Naby Keita and Fabinho joined the club, and would strengthen Jurgen Klopp's options in the attacking part of the pitch.
Shaqiri helped Switzerland reach the round-of-16 of the World Cup, with Stoke hoping those performances in Russia would spark an auction for the forward.
He scored 15 times in 92 appearances for Stoke following his move from Inter Milan in 2015.
