An American woman has revealed she’s in a polyamorous relationship with her two husbands and the trio even share a king-sized bed. Polyamory is the practice of consensually engaging in multiple relationships and loving more than one person at a time. According to The Sun, Carrie Jamison, 42, from Florida, has been in a relationship with Chris Jamison, 43, and Kyle Jamison, 48, for eight years – despite concerns from relatives. Carrie, who has been married to her first husband Kyle, an engineer, since 2005, insists their unconventional situation is normal. Carrie says: “I love both of my husbands equally. There is no jealousy between us and they are happy to share me.” Carrie and Kyle have been together since July 2004, and married in March 2005 before giving birth to the couple’s daughter, Olivia, 12, a year later. Along with Carrie’s twin daughters, Abby and Amanda, 19, from a previous relationship, they were a happy family. But in August 2011, Carrie’s friend Chris, a fire safety officer, revealed that he had feelings for her. Carrie says: “We’d known each other since we were 12 years old. His marriage had just fallen apart and he was coming round our house three days a week. “I had always found Chris attractive and when he confessed his feelings for me I realised that I felt the same way. “We told Kyle how we felt but I wanted him to know that I still loved him. “Kyle told Chris that as we all got along so well, that he should join our relationship. “I was shocked, but it made sense. When researching, I discovered that we were feeling polyamory.” In June 2012, Carrie and Kyle invited Chris to move in with them. Carrie says: “We spoke to the children first but they saw the arrangement as normal. They loved Chris and saw him as a second dad. “Kids at school sometimes made comments about our relationship to the twins, but they just shrugged it off and defended us. “The first night snuggled in bed between my two men, I was so happy. My life felt complete.” In August 2012, Chris proposed to Carrie and, one month later, the three celebrated their love with a spiritual union. Carrie says: “We knew it wouldn’t be legal but I couldn’t wait. “My aunt is an ordained minister and we had two of our close friends there as witnesses. “I wore a white dress and we all exchanged rings. I said ‘I do’ to my two husbands. “We got matching tattoos with the polyamory symbol, and Chris changed his surname to ours. “In September 2013 Chris and I had our own ceremony in Atlantic City. “Our love is real, and it meant so much to us to have a ceremony of our own too. “In the eyes of the law Chris may not be my husband, but in my heart he is.” “We enjoy threesomes from time to time on special occasions. “But if I want to spend time with one of them we will go up to the bedroom a little earlier.”
