Falconets’ Goalkeeper Nnadozie Voted MVP In Win Against Haiti

Falconets’ goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, was voted Player of the Match as she helped Nigeria clinch a hard-fought 1-0 win against debutants Haiti in Thursday’s Group D game at the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France.

Nnadozie’s choice as Player of the Match was confirmed on the verified Twitter handle of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup with a picture of her holding her award.

Despite the tight contest, Nnadozie was impressive for the Falconets as she made strings of superb saves to secure the all-important three points.

The Falconets goal was scored by Rasheedat Ajibade, who converted from the penalty spot in the first half.

A draw would be enough for the Falconets in their next game against China, while China must win to progress with group leaders Germany, into the quarter-finals.
