In a bid to raise money for Kanu Heart Foundation, a one-off legends charity game involving some English Premier Leauge All Stars and Africa All Stars will hold in London.
Kanu Nwankwo, former Nigeria international and founder of Kanu Heart Foundation, made the announcement when he appeared as a guest on Sky Sports on Thursday.
Apart from his former Arsenal teammate, Sol Campbell, who will feature in the game, Kanu disclosed that the game will come up on September 30, inside The Hive Stadium, home ground of English League Two side, Barnet FC.
The two-time Africa Player of the Year and 1995 UEFA Champions League winner with Ajax, also revealed that his former Arsenal colleagues, Robert Pires and Lauren Etame Mayer, will also play in the game.
The Kanu Heart Foundationis a non-governmental, non-profit organisation set up to help indigent Nigerian children with cardiac diseases to obtain life-saving surgeries within and outside Nigeria.
Since its launch in 2000 and in pursuit of its vision, the foundation has successfully helped 538 children of varying ages get open heart surgeries in hospitals across the world.
