Emmanuel Aguma, the Rivers State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, SAN, is dead. A statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Emma Okah, indicated that Aguma died in a London on Friday. Okah described the late Aguma as a man who served the state with an amazing sense of responsibility, passion, courage and competence, adding that the deceased’s zeal to serve the state, even in his sick bed, never waned. “It is with very deep pain, but gratitude to the Almighty God that the Rivers State Government wishes to announce the demise of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Emmanuel Chinwenwo Aguma, SAN, today, Friday August 10, 2018 in a London hospital. “Until his death, he served the state with amazing sense of responsibility, commitment, passion, competence and courage. At all times, even in his sick bed, his exemplary zeal to serve Rivers State never waned,” Okah said in the statement. However, the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State has in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Chris Finebone, expressed shock over the death of the Attorney General.
