About 13 people were killed on Saturday, after a passenger bus collided with a truck parked on a road and overturned in southern Afghanistan, officials have said.
Abdul Bashir, Khaksar, provincial police in Zheral district of Kandahar province, told AFP, that another 25 persons were also wounded in the accident.
Mohammad Aziz Azizi, spokesperson for Kandahar governor, said the truck, which caused the accident was stationary on the road, when the bus ran into it around 6.am local time.
The bus was carrying around 40 passengers from neighbouring Helmand province to Kandahar,
According to the report, Azizi confirmed that 15 persons, including women and children, were among the casualties.
Traffic accidents are common in Afghanistan, where drivers often flout traffic rules and roads are in poor conditions.
