Italian giants, Inter Milan, will make another attempt to sign Real Madrid midfielder, Luca Modric in January, a report has said. The Croatia captain was strongly linked with a move to the San Siro during the summer, but Real Madrid came out to dispel the rumour, slamming more than $700million price tag on the player as a result. The 1998 UEFA Cup winners were said to have prepared to offer Modric a six-year contract on €10million a season. Persistent report on Modric’s move to Inter prompted Real Madrid to report the Italian club to FIFA, for negotiating with a player who still has a contract. According to per Sport Mediaset, Inter will make another bid to sign the reigning UEFA player of the year in January. Italian media say the 33-year-old has reportedly told his compatriot, Šime Vrsaljko, Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic, who play for Inter, that he will leave Spain in January. Modric captained the national team to the World Cup final in July, losing to eventual winners, France 4-2.
