Kemi Adeosun, a former finance minister, has left the country on Saturday, a report has said.
Adeosun resigned on Friday amid a certificate forgery scandal. She was alleged to have forged an exemption certificate of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC. The matter was revealed and investigated by an online news medium, Premium Times.
Adeosun explained in her resignation letter that she did not know the certificate was forged as she relied on associates who helped obtain it after she returned from the United Kingdom.
Premium Times reports that her departure was revealed by one of her close associates who said it was likely she was headed to the UK.
