Umaru Babuga has been arraigned at the Ogba Magistrate' Court for attacking and injuring three people which include a Police Inspector with a knife.
The incident took place on 10th September, 2018 at about 4:30 pm at Kara Abattoir Cattle Market, Oko-Oba, Agege, Lagos.
The victims, Umar Idris, a policeman serving at Abattoir Division, Agege, Lagos; Nura Sale and Aliru Baba.
In count one, Babuga was accused of stabbing Inspector Idris with knife on his left ear and back which caused him bodily harm thereby committing an offence punishable under section 173 of the criminal laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.
Count two stated that he injured Sale on his right and left fingers which caused him bodily harm, committing an offence punishable under section 173 of criminal laws of Lagos State.
Count three indicated that he stabbed Baba on his stomach and hand causing bodily harm which is punishable under section 246 of the criminal laws of Lagos State.
While count four says he caused breach of peace by threatening people with knife and thereby committed an offences punishable under section 56 of the criminal laws of Lagos State.
Babuga was granted bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties.
