Zainab Maina, Chairman of the PDP Electoral Panel for the state, declared Governor Ortom as the winner on Monday after he polled the highest number of votes amongst three other aspirants.
Maina said the Governor polled 2,210 votes, while John Tondo, Felix Atume and Paul Orhii got 475 votes, 44 votes, and 10 votes respectively.
The Electoral Panel Chairman disclosed that no invalid vote was recorded and hailed the election, describing it as free and fair.
