Atiku Meets Obasanjo Behind Closed Door

Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president and the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is currently in a closed-door meeting with former president Olusegun Obasanjo.
Atiku was the Vice-President to Obasanjo between 1999 and 2007. However, he fell out with Obasanjo just before their term expired and their relationship is reported to be at its best.
The duo began their meeting at Presidential Library Complex, Abeokuta, at 1.09pm.

Among those on Atiku’s entourage are his campaign director, Otunba Gbenga Daniel; PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus;  Senator Ben Murray-Bruce; and a former Cross River State governor, Liyel Imoke, among others.

Also at the meeting were Bishop Matthew Kukah, the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese; prominent Islamic preacher, Ahmed Gumi; Bishop David Oyedepo, Presiding Bishop Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel); and Pa Ayo Adebanjo.
The Punch reports that the meeting may not be unconnected with Atiku’s presidential ambition in 2019.
