Hollywood actor Will Smith will star in Disney's 'Aladdin' remake following the official release of the teaser image.
Smith, who will be playing Genie in the film released a poster on his Instagram page early this week.
Walt Disney Studios took to Twitter sharing the poster after Smith, saying to check out the first look of the live-action remake on Thursday, hinting at a trailer debut or first official set photos.
Smith's caption on Instagram reads: "LEMME OUT!! Can’t wait for y’all to see Me BLUE! :-) #aladdin"
The cast for the upcoming live-action 'Aladdin' was revealed in July at D23 Expo, which includes Mena Massoud as Aladdin and Power Rangers' Naomi Scott who will play Jasmine. Disney had also confirmed that Will Smith will be playing Genie.
Billy Magnussen was added to the cast in September as a new character named Prince Anders. Guy Ritchie will be directing the live-action film.
Producer Dan Lin discussed as early as 2017 that the live-action version of Aladdin would not be whitewashed as others have like Prince of Persia, and that a diverse cast would be brought onto the film to create a, "movie that's authentic to the world."
