Helen Paul, Keppy Ekpenyong To Host 10th BON Awards


Organisers of the Best of Nollywood awards, have announced Keppy Ekpenyong Bassey and Helen Paul as the hosts of the 2018 edition of the award.

The award ceremony, which expected to hold in Oyo State come December 9, will mark a decade of celebrating highfliers in the Nigerian movie industry.

Seun Oloketuyi,  chief executive officer of BON Awards, in a statement on Wednesday said “a lot of creative contributions have gone into the event’s preparation, to make it a memorable 10 years celebration”.

The duo of Ekpeyong and Paul will thrill guests to “an evening of class” at the gala night and ball-themed event.

Abiola Ajimobi, governor of Oyo, will be a special guest of honour at the event which is sponsored by the state government.

Among the 34 categories at the awards are the keenly contested ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’ (English and Yoruba) and ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ (English and Yoruba).

Ramsey Nouah, Femi Branch, Kelechi Udegbe are among the six nominated in the best actor (English) category.

In the Yoruba movie genre, Femi Adebayo, Ninalowo Bolanle, Lateef Adedimeji and Yemi Solade are nominated for best actor in a leading role.

‘We Don’t Live Here Anymore’, a movie by Tope Oshin, was the highest nominated, raking in 11 nominations in different categories.
