Nigeria’s Super Falcons have been drawn in Pot 4 ahead of Saturday’s 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup draw in France.
The Falcons’ pot was determined following the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola Womenâ€™s World Ranking which was published.
According to the ranking, the Falcons, who were recently crowned Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) champions, dropped one spot to 39th.
Banyana Banyana of South Africa (ranked 48th) and Cameroon (ranked 46th) who finished second and third respectively at this year’s AWCON, are also in Pot 4.
Other teams also in Pot 4 are Argentina, Chile and Jamaica.
Pot 1 has the United States of America (ranked first), 2019 World Cup hosts, Germany (ranked second), France (ranked third), England (ranked fourth), Canada (ranked fifth) and Australia (ranked sixth).
Netherlands, Japan, Sweden, Brazil, Spain and Norway make up Pot 2 and North Korea, China, Italy, New Zealand, Switzerland and Thailand are in Pot 3.
The draw for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be held on 8 December 2018, at the La Seine Musicale on the island of ÃŽle Seguin, Boulogne-Billancourt.
The 24 teams will be drawn into six groups of four teams.
Nine cities will host the tournament which will run from June 7 to July 7.
