Seyi Akinwunmi, Nigeria Football Federation 1st vice president, has disclosed that the federation will evaluate Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr and the other coaching crew after receiving the technical report from CAF on the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
Akinwunmi, who also doubles as the chairman, Lagos State football association, said the NFF sees Nigeria’s third-place finish at the tournament as a stepping stone to greater heights in Nigerian football.

“For the first time in this competition, we have 24 teams and we came third, so it’s only a stepping stone to greater heights and that is how we see it,” he told Brilafm on Monday.
“When we finished a competition, we wait for the technical report, I’m a board member, I can’t comment on technicalities of coaching. The report will tell us what is next, it’s not from me.”
Also, the federation’s general secretary, Mohammed Sanusi, has reacted angrily to the growing call to sack Rohr, echoing Akinwunmi, that the glass house would have to wait for CAF’s report.
“When you go for competition, you wait for the report of that competition. I have not received any report, so why can’t we stop the protest?” he said.
