Falz’s latest single ‘Talk’ has been buzzing on social media since it was released on Friday.
This time around, his song touched on foreign trips politicians go, internet scam, battle between the country’s strongest political parties and laziness among the youth.
He also touched on the issue of religious leaders living a luxurious lifestyle at the expense of their members, among others.
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), who had threatened to sue him for having hijab-wearing dancers dancing to Shaku Shaku, was not left out.
However, Twitter users have commended him for shedding light on the ills in the society, most especially thee issue of religious leaders living luxury lifestyle.
Celebrity like MI was among those that reacted to the video of the song on Twitter. According to MI, “Falz needs to be protected at all all all all costs people!!!!!!”
Another Twitter user identified as King Nomso said, Nigerians were reminded on what Fela sang about in 1985.
“Fela sang about Buhari’s Fraudulence & Failures in 1985, 34 years later Falz is reminding Nigerians of the Failures of the same man. Different Musicians, 34 years in between, same message.”
