Chance the Rapper has apologised for working with R. Kelly, saying he regrets doing that. In the final episode of the Lifetime documentary series ‘Surviving R. Kelly’, Chancethe Rapper made an appearance and he said he regrets working with Kelly.
During his interview with Jamilah Lemieux, Chance stated that “making a song with R. Kelly was a mistake,” referring to his 2015 song with R. Kelly and Jeremih “Somewhere in Paradise.”
“I didn’t value the accusers’ stories because they were black women. I made a mistake.”
Aside from Chance, the only other musicians featured in the documentary series are John Legend and Stephanie “Sparkle” Edwards. Many other celebrities were asked to be interviewed, but declined.
Newsbreak.ng earlier reports that John Legend blasted the ‘I Wish’ singer during his own episode.
According to Legend, “R. Kelly has brought so much pain to so many people,” the musician said. “#TimesUp for R. Kelly.” Legend is the only major artist to appear in the series.
