Senator Dino Melaye, the lawmaker representing Kogi West senatorial district has been moved again by the Nigeria Police Force, a report has revealed.
The federal lawmaker was transferred by the police from its Police Clinic in Garki, Abuja, to a medical facility of the Department of State Services (DSS) after he complained of ill-health.
However, Senator Melaye was moved once again back to a police facility; the Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) facility in Guzape, Abuja, on Saturday, The Cable reports.
An associate of the embattled senator told the online medium that he was moved without prior notice.
“They moved him to SARS office in Guzape. The police moved him without any word. We don’t know what they want to do now,” the source told the online newspaper.
Senator Melaye has had a running battle with the police in the last few months over allegations and counter-allegations of his purported involvement in a shooting incident.
He is currently facing charges over the alleged shooting of one Sergeant Danjuma Aliu deployed to the Mobile unit of the force in Kogi State.
