Atiku’s North-East Campaign Coordinator Reportedly Defects To APC

Senator Saidu Umar Kumo, Director-General of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign, has reportedly defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This was made known by Bashir Ahmad, Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, via a post on Twitter on Friday.

“Senator Saidu Umar Kumo from Gombe and North East DG Atiku/PDP Presidential Campaign Council has dumped PDP and joined the moving train to the #NextLevel,” Ahmed tweeted.

However, Senator Kumo has not confirmed whether he has decamped to the ruling APC.

The PDP has also not said whether Kumo, who only returned back last year, has left its ranks again.

Kumo served as the lawmaker representing Gombe Central senatorial district in Gombe State under the platform of the defunct All Nigeria’s People Party (ANPP) from 1999 to 2003.
