Real Madrid have completed the first signing of the new Zinedine Zidane era. According to reports, the Spanish giants have agreed with Portuguese club, FC Porto, to pay €50 million release clause for defender, Eder Militao.
The 13-time Champions League winners confirmed on their official website that the player has signed a six-year deal. The new signing will join the European champions from next season.
The signing comes days after the club reappointed Zidane as replacement for Santiago Solari.
Militao had also been linked with a move to Juventus or Manchester United. The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising defenders in Europe, and has already made his senior debut with Brazil national team.
