Liverpool have reportedly forced Real Madrid to change their transfer plans regarding Eden Hazard, a report says.
The Belgium international is set to be the biggest transfer of the summer, should he finally sign for the Los Blancos in a £100 million-plus deal.
Reports in France say Real are expected to paraded the 28-year-old in front of fans at the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid and Barcelona, arc-rivals in Spain, are known for showing off their Galacticos, and for Real, Hazard will be the club’s biggest signing since Cristiano Ronaldo joined in 2009.
According to French newspaper, L’Equipe, the capital giants had planned to unveil the former Lille play maker on June 2, a day after the Champions League final, in order to steal the spotlight from Barcelona.
They had allegedly thought Barcelona could go all the way to the final and win the tournament.
But Barcelona were knocked out of the competition in the second leg of the semi-final, when Liverpool won 4-3 on aggregate over the Catalan club.
Consequently, the report added that Real have now changed their plans, but will likely have an alternatively flamboyant way of unveiling Hazard if they sign him.
The final of the competition will take place at Atletico’s Wanda Metropolitano.
