How 85-Year-Old Grandmother Was Killed – Police

Police said at least five persons, including an 85-year-old woman, were reportedly killed by a criminal gang, led by a man with the moniker, ‘Ghana’, in Katsina Ala Local Government Area of Benue State.

The gunmen were said to have arrived on motorcycles around 9 pm on Tuesday, shooting at a hotel at Tor Donga community. Several others were also reported to have sustained gunshot injuries.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Moses Yamu, told journalists on Friday that two of the attackers were injured during a gun duel with the police

Yamu said the gunmen killed “killed three persons … including an 85-year-old woman in their residences in the community.”

The police said they recovered two military riffles with Breech number 1971TT – 1211 and 563631 with 10 rounds of ammunition were recovered from the hoodlums.
