AFCON: Eagles Players Motivated By Competition For Shirts, Says Moses

Moses Simon, Super Eagles winger, has stated that competition for places in the team at the 2019 African Cup of Nations, is extra motivation for the players.

Simon said consequently, the players want to justify their inclusion in the team each time they get the opportunity to play.

The Levante winger, who was left out the team in Nigeria’s opener against Burundi, provided the assist for Kenneth Omeruo, to score Nigeria’s only goal and winner over Guinea on Wednesday.

“We all play in our clubs and we have a good relationship with each other and if you can see, everyone is fighting to play and that motivates the team because if you mess up, there is another one that can play,” he told Brila.net.
