AFCON: English Clubs Celebrate Their Nigerian Players After Guinea Victory (Pictures)

Leicester City and Stoke City reckoned with the performances of their players who featured for the Super Eagles in Wednesday’s slim 1-0 victory over Guinea in the ongoing AFCON in Egypt.

Leicester, a Premier League club and Stoke, who play in the Championship, prominently recognized the inputs of Wilfred Ndidi and Oghenekaro Etebo respectively, in helping Nigeria become the first team at the tournament to book a Round of 16 ticket.

The English clubs posted pictures and a story of their Eagles players on their websites, as they prepare for their pre-season engagements.

Nigeria’s last group game against Madagascar on Sunday, will be a formality, though the debutants still have a lot to do to secure a place in the second round.
