Iwobi Wants Olympics Team Shirt

Alex Iwobi has signified his interest in playing for Nigeria at the 2016 Rio Olympics in August. The Arsenal starlet who made his debut for Nigeria in the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt, is likely to miss the start of next season. Arsenal will begin their season on ten days after the commencement of the Olympics and should Nigeria make it to the finals, Iwobi will be in Brazil till 20 August.

Iwobi, nephew to former Super Eagles captain, Austin Okocha, has been impressive for his club in the past weeks. He put up a good show against Barcelona in the 3-1 loss at the Nou Camp. The 19-year-old forward bagged a goal against Everton in the Premier League before scoring and creating another against Watford the following week.
