He stated that the company’s premises will remain shut for the time being.
“The COVID-19 confirmation tests for six suspected cases came back positive. All six cases are from the same organisation, iSON Xperiences, in Ibadan South West Local Government Area. So, the number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 143.
“The company remains shut and will be decontaminated. The Emergency Operations Centre has continued intensive contact tracing to identify persons of interest linked to members of staff in the company.
“Please call the emergency operations centre if you find travellers from other states arriving in your community,” the governor’s statement on Wednesday read.
Governor Makinde’s statement on Thursday read: “Fifteen are from iSON Xperiences in Ibadan South West Local Government Area (LGA), 2 are from Ido LGA, 1 more person from Ibadan South West LGA and 1 from Ibadan South East LGA. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 162.”
The Oyo State government had previously announced that 30 and 19 employees respectively of an organisation tested positive for COVID-19.
It is, however, unknown if the aforementioned employees are linked to iSON Xperiences.
