APC Vows To Reclaim Ekiti

All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti State, on Sunday, vowed to reclaim the state from the awaiting PDP government. Jide Awe, APC state chairman, told party members during the state congress in Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti,  that it was achievable through “men and women of honour who are going to be at the vanguard of this struggle.” Awe stated that Ekiti is “The land of the progressives…We won’t allow any stranger to take it from us.” The chairman, who was  returned to the position he has occupied for eight years, added that “The struggle for emancipation of Ekiti State has just started.”

Deputy Governor Modupe Adelabu, a professor, who represented Governor Kayode Fayemi, voiced the party’s optimism to “overtake and   recover” the state from the PDP. She pleaded that election petitions tribunal be allowed to work.

Adelabu said the APC has the authentic results to prove it was robbed at the poll.

“The tribunal will be an opportunity for everybody to prove we have an authentic result. I wonder why people don’t want the tribunal to sit.”
