Aubameyang, As Good As Ronaldo, Says Arsenal’s Ceballos

Arsenal’s loan signing, Dani Ceballos, has said his teammate, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, can be compared to Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of goalscoring.

Aubameyang has scored three goals for the Gunners in the league this season while partnering upfront with Alexander Lacazette and another new signing, Nicolas Pepe.

Ceballos, who joined the London club on loan from Real Madrid in the summer, said he is impressed with the club’s offensive players, adding that Lacazette is Arsenal’s best player at the moment.

He said: “We’ve got a very good, compact side and the three up front really make the difference. You can compare [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang to Cristiano [Ronaldo] when he was at Madrid in the sense that he plays close to the goal he lives for scoring.

“He’s very important for us, fundamental. [Nicolas] Pepe is very direct. And [Alexandre] Lacazette, for me, is the best player: he understands the game perfectly and, if he’s 100 per cent, he’s going to give us so much.”

However, Aubameyang has proved to be the better goalscorer during his time at Arsenal than Lacazette.

The Unai Emery side have seven points from  their opening four League matches this season. They travel to Watford this weekend in the Premier League.
