Ben Ayade, Governor of Cross River State, has suspended Moses Onoh, his Special Adviser on Budget, for allegedly leaking official communication.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by Christian Ita, Special Adviser to the Governor, on Media and Publicity.
According to the statement, the suspension takes immediate effect. It, however, did not specify the information which was purportedly leaked by Onoh.
The statement read: “Hon. Onoh’s suspension, which is a direct consequence of his mis-handling of privileged official communication, takes immediate effect.”
Governor Ayade, according to Ita, warned all government functionaries of Cross River State not to mishandle or leak official information.
“All appointees of government are hereby warned that His Excellency the Governor will not condone any abuse of the office of any kind, including the leaking of privileged official communication,” the statement read.
