Boko Haram Fighters Kill Two Siblings In Chibok

Boko Haram insurgents have killed two siblings in Bilaburdar Village, Gatamarwa ward in the Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State.

Reports say the insurgents stormed the village around 8pm on Friday, shooting sporadically. The siblings, Joel Fali, 16, and Kwakwi Fali, 14, were found dead after the incident.

Yusuf Yakubu, a 35 year old farmer, was also killed.

The report added that the attack lasted some few hours during which seven houses were burnt.

The Cable reports that the insurgents had left before soldiers from the 117 task force battalion in Chibok arrived.

President Muhammadu Buhari has said soldiers will be withdrawn from troubled regions. Although he said the withdrawal would not be done hurriedly, many have expressed fears of possibilities of heightened attacks by insurgents.
