Boko Haram Kidnaps 30,000 Women, Children

Islamic terrorists, Boko Haram is believed to have kidnapped 30,000 women and children in two years. Mansur Dan-Ali, the Minister of Defence, said the Nigerian military rescued the previously abducted women and children from the terrorists’ captivity in Sambisa Forest. “It is pertinent to state that the troops of Operation Lafiya Dole and its air force component inflicted heavy casualty on the Boko Haram during the recent Operation Deep Punch II in Sambisa forest,” he said. The minister further claimed that the terrorists no longer hold any territory in the country, a claim that had been refuted even by government officials repeatedly. Moreover, Dan-Ali said the troops struck the terrorists and recovered many arms and ammunition and bomb making factory. The minister said the ministry had ensured timely disbursement of the troops welfare and allowances, while those who overstayed in the battle field were rotated. On accommodation pf military personnel, the minister said: “Plans are on the way for the construction of 20 blocks of barracks accommodation under the ministry to eased problem of accommodation. Recently, the army also took in six newly acquired mine caterpillar used to demobilise explosives which had really eased their operations.” Agency Report
