The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court, Abuja has granted bail to Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy Ike Ekweremadu, alongside two others charged with forging the Senate Standing Rules. Others accused are former and current clerks of the National Assembly, Salisu Abubakar Maikasuwa and his deputy, Benedict Efeturi. Saraki, Ekweremadu and the two others pleaded not guilty when the charges of forgery of the senate order was read to them. Part of their bail condition is that their sureties, two each, must have landed property in Maitama, Asokoro, Garki or Wuse or be remanded in Kuje prison. The case has been adjourned to 11 July 2016.
