Douye Diri, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 16 Bayelsa governorship election, may have landed himself in hot water after a group submitted a petition against him to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
The group, Bayelsa Coalition for Good Governance, sent a petition to the CCB dated September 17, accusing Diri of failing to declare his assets as a serving senator.
The bureau has acknowledged the petition and asked the petitioner to provide more information on the allegations.
In a letter signed by S.P. Gwimi, one of its directors, the CCB invited the petitioner for a pre-investigation interview.
