Super Eagles and Villareal young forward, Samuel Chukwueze, missed out on the final 20-man shortlist of the Golden Boy award which was released on Tuesday.
Former Manchester City midfielder, Tomiwa Dele-Bashiru, who now plays for Watford, also did not make the final shortlist.
Both players were among the 100 shortlist which was unveiled in September.
Among the players who made the final cut are Chelsea’s Mason Mount, Matteo Guendouzi of Arsenal, Barcelona’s Ansu Fati, Joao Felix of Atletico Madrid Phil F oden of Manchester City.
The Golden Boy award, established by Italian publication Tuttosport, is given to the best player under the age of 21 in Europe.
Former winners of the award include Wayne Rooney (2004), Lionel Messi (2005), Sergio Aguero (2007), Paul Pogba (2013), Raheem Sterling (2014), Anthony Martial (2015) and Kylian Mbappe (2018).
The winner will be announced on December 16, with the award decided by 30 journalists from media outlets across the continent.
