Some female members of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) on Sunday gave testimonies regarding their interaction with Biodun Fatoyinbo, the Senior Pastor of the church.
The testimonies as narrated by the women at the church’s service in Guzape, Abuja, may not be unrelated to the scandal currently hovering over Fatoyinbo, following accusations by Busola, wife of singer Timi Dakolo, that she was raped by the pastor.
The women, majority of them who decided not to identify themselves by name, said their lives had been transformed through the church and their interaction with the embattled pastor.
Some also claimed to have either gotten their dream job or had their marriage saved through the instrumentality of the church.
A lady, who identified only herself as Toyin, narrated that she joined COZA in 2012 and was ably mentored by Fatoyinbo.
There has being a series of both anti-Fatoyinbo and counter-protests at the Abuja and Lagos branch of COZA on Sunday.
Since Dakolo made her allegations public, several Nigerians have asked the embattled Fatoyinbo to step down pending investigation.
However, some others have defended the pastor, saying that he has denied that such an incident never occurred and should, therefore, be left alone.
