Dele Alli Ruled Out Of England’s Friendly Against Switzerland

England forward, Dele Alli, has been ruled out of England’s Tuesday  friendly game against Switzerland due to a minor muscle strain, the Football Association said on Monday.

The 22-year-old picked up the injury in England’s 2-1 defeat by Spain in Saturday’s UEFA Nations League opener at Wembley Stadium.

The Tottenham Hotspur player is set to return to his club for further treatment.

Alli faces a race to be fit for Saturday’s Premier League clash with table toppers, Liverpool at the White Hart Lane.

Meanwhile, England have called up Leicester City duo of Ben Chilwell and Demarai Gray for the friendly match at the King Power Stadium. However, the FA said they would not make more additions to the squad ahead of Monday’s training session.

Luke Shaw, the Manchester United defender, who was concussed after he sustained a blow to his head in the loss to Spain, returned back to his club on Monday.
