Florence Otedola, popular disk jockey, known as Dj Cuppy, has topped Forbes’ 30 under 30 list for 2020 in Africa, along with Mr Eazi, Patoranking and others.
Every year, Forbes Africa releases a list of top 30 under 30 young Africans, who are doing amazing things for themselves and their community.
As usual, this year’s list was sourced from four categories, featuring 30 in each: Business, Technology, Creatives and Sports.
Nigeria makes up the majority of honorees in the list, shedding light on the entrepreneurial and can-do spirit of the young people in the country.
South Africa and Botswana have four young entrepreneurs on the list.
Ghana has three young persons, while Uganda has two.
Cameroon, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Morocco, Sudan and Ivory Coast have one young entrepreneur each making the list.
DJ Cuppy, Mr Eazi, and Patoranking are among the nine Nigerians to feature on the list for 2020.
Other Nigerians to make the list are: Tracy Batta; CEO of Smoothie Express, Olajumoke Oduwole; CEO of KJK Communications, Swanky Jerry of Swanky Signatures, Daves Okeowo, Maryam Gwadabe, and Nigerian female footballer, Asisat Oshoala.
