Electricity Distribution Company Employee Stabbed To Death, Another Injured

A staff of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), was stabbed to death on Tuesday in Kabusa, while another escaped with injuries, following attack by an assailant.

The AEDC officials were on duty disconnecting defaulting customers, when a man reportedly attacked them from behind.

The body of the deceased official has been deposited at the mortuary in Garki Hospital, Area 8, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Olaniyan Fadipe, Head of Corporate Commission of AEDC, confirmed the attack.

Fadipe said two of their staffers were attacked, during which one died, and the other receiving treatment in a hospital.

Fadipe lamented that attacks on their officials have become recurrent and rampant.

He said the officials were not at the house of the attacker during the incident.

According  to him, the assailant has been arrested and handed over to the police.
