‘Emir Of Iwo’ Should Be Dethroned For Beating Up Fellow Monarch – Fani-Kayode

Femi Fani-Kayode, former minister of aviation, has said Abdulrasheed Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwo, Osun State, should be deposed over an alleged assault on a monarch.

It was gathered on Friday, that the Oluwo assaulted Oba Dhirulahi Akinropo, Agbowu of Ogbaagbaa town, during a peace meeting with the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of zone 11, Bashir Makamaover, in Iwo.

He was said to have stood up from where he was sitting, and descended on Dhirulahi, inflicting injury on him in the process.

Reacting to the incident on his verified Twitter handle, Fani-Kayode called the integrity of the monarch into question.

The Peoples Democratic Party Chieftain described the incident as unacceptable and sacrilegious.

“When a land is ravaged by poverty even drug dealers,armed robbers and Yahoo fraudsters are paraded as elites & the kingship stool is auctioned to the highest bidder!

“The “Emir”of Iwo beat up his fellow traditional ruler! This is unacceptable and sacrilegious. He ought to be deposed,” he wrote.
