Chelsea duo, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori have been called up for England’s Euro 2020 qualifiers against Czech Republic and Bulgaria.
England boss Southgate has been keen to include Abraham in the senior squad as he wants to tie him down after Nigeria tried to poach him.
Abraham, 22, has played for England at U-21s in two senior friendlies but playing in the qualifiers with Czech Republic and Bulgaria would tie him down.
Southgate has also been watching Chelsea defender Tomori, 21, who has been in impressive form for Frank Lampard’s side this season.
Abraham has scored seven goals across all competitions this season and his performance at Lille in the Champions League is certain to have caught Southgate’s eye.
But there is no place for Liverpool ’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who drop out from the last squad and Dele Alli has also been overlooked despite being back to full fitness for Tottenham.
Also, named in the squad are Mason Mount, Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane, Jadon Sancho, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Raheem Sterling and Harry Maguire.
