Former Air Force Chief Badeh Laid To Rest In Abuja (Photos)

Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, a former Chief of Defence Staff, was on Wednesday buried in Abuja at a military cemetery.

A service of songs had preceded the final interment at the Pentecostal Church in the Air Force base.

Present at the funeral was the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, as well as the governors of Plateau and Adamawa State, Simon Bako Lalong and Bindo Jibrilla.

  

The Chief of Defence Staff, Abayomi Olonisakin, was also present. However, the chief of naval staff, chief of air staff and chief of army staff were represented.

In a message titled “the lost axe head”, Group Captain Dogo Gani, praised the selfless qualities of the late chief of defence staff, emphasizing his dedication to the service of the country.

Badeh was shot dead by unknown gunmen in the Federal Capital Territory on December 18, 2018, while returning from his farm along Abuja-Keffi Road.

He was with his driver, who was also shot by the gunmen. The driver, however, survived.
